What does Feed the Heroes LA do?
Feed the Heroes LA provides free, delicious meals to Los Angeles healthcare professionals, as well as police and fire professionals on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, while also keeping restaurant workers on the job.

If I am a medical professional in Los Angeles, how can I get free meals for my colleagues and myself?
If you are a medical professional working with a COVID team, please go to the page labeled For Medical Professionals and fill out a request form at least 24 hours prior to the desired delivery time and no later than 4 pm the day before. Someone from Eatalian team will get back to you in a timely manner. Please note that we fill orders for a minimum of 30 meals.

How do I buy a meal or lots of meals? Can I designate where I want the meals to go?
Go to the Buy Meals page and purchase meals there on a one-time, weekly or monthly basis. You may choose which facility you want your meals to go to in the drop-down menu under “Designation Label” and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Is Eatalian the only restaurant involved?
For now, we are the only business involved, although all of our

Are there other ways to help?

How do I know the food is safe?
All the meals are prepared in accordance with Department of Health guidelines for hygiene and safety. Our team wears gloves and masks while preparing and delivering meals. Each medical professional receives an individually packaged meal, and a wrapped set of utensils with a napkin.

What does the name “San Francesco” mean in your company name?
In early 2019, Antonio Pellini began a partnership with Chef Andrea Tiberi, who is originally from Assisi, Italy, and worked for many years with the Orders of Friars Minor: San Franciscan Friars (OFM) in Assisi and Rome. Notably, OFM was originally founded by St. Francis of Assisi more than 800 years ago, and today, Chef Andrea pays homage to these ties with the name San Francesco. Adding to this link, the name of the City of Los Angeles originates from the Franciscan Missions Friars, which was founded by OFM friars from Assisi, and the mission was called Santa Maria de Los Angeles.

Feed the Heroes LA is d/b/a San Francesco, LLC  and Eatalian Cafe, both companies are for profit business.
